Privacy Policy

The short version

COOPER has no backend. Your movements, budgets, debts and goals are written to your device and stay there. There is no account to create, nothing to sync, and no analytics or advertising code inside the app. Nobody — its developer included — can read your finances.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you type into COOPER — income, expenses, savings, budgets, recurring items, debts, goals, monthly closes and your settings — is written to the app’s private container on your iPhone, protected by iOS itself.

• It is never uploaded anywhere.
• It leaves your device only when you choose to export a backup file — and then it goes only where you send it.
• Deleting the app deletes the data with it.
• “Erase Cooper data” in Settings wipes your records on demand.

The only connection the app makes

One feature reaches the internet: the currency converter, which downloads reference exchange rates from the public Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.dev). The request asks for a range of euro-based rates and carries none of your data — no amounts, no records, no identifier. Like any web request, it does expose your IP address to that service. Rates are cached on the device, so the converter keeps working offline.

This website

This site is a handful of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no trackers or advertising pixels. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The two forms on this site

If you send a suggestion or join the launch list, you share what you type: an email address, optionally a name, and your message. It is used only to reply to you or to tell you when COOPER is out. It is never sold, rented or added to any advertising list.

The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. Delivery happens either through Formspree, acting as a data processor, or straight to the inbox below via your own mail app. You can have your address removed at any time by writing to that same address.

Purchases

COOPER Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and records the entitlement; the app verifies it on the device against Apple’s signed receipts. Card details never reach COOPER or its developer, who receives only the aggregate sales reports Apple provides. Apple’s own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your personal data, its rectification or its erasure, restrict or object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).

In practice the only personal data ever held is what you sent through a form on this site. The finances inside the app are not accessible to us at all, so there is nothing there for us to hand over or delete on your behalf.

Children

COOPER is not directed at children under 14, and no data is knowingly collected from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting the app are also announced in the App Store release notes.
